English Version
Toy Introduction
The Lilong Toys Wooden Blocks Education Toys With Tray – 26-Piece is a wooden early-learning toy set designed for young children. The set includes 26 colorful wooden blocks in different shapes and sizes, and a tray to organize and arrange them. It is ideal for toddlers and preschoolers to explore colours, shapes, stacking, sorting and matching — thereby enhancing hand–eye coordination, spatial awareness and logical thinking.
Learning Goals
-
Enable children to recognize different colours, shapes and sizes.
-
Through “find the block – place into tray or build” tasks, develop observation skills and concentration.
-
Encourage fine motor skills (grasping, placing), spatial imagination and creativity.
Detailed Gameplay
-
Basic Play: Sorting and Matching
-
Place the tray flat and scatter the wooden blocks.
-
The adult/helper begins by saying: “Find the red block,” “Find the blue one.”
-
Then say: “Which one is the circle?” “Which one is the triangle?” Help the child place the correct shape into the corresponding spot on the tray (if applicable).
-
After one round, the child may try independently: sort all blocks by colour from light to dark, or by size from small to large.
-
-
Advanced Play: Free Construction & Building
-
Encourage the child to use the blocks to build simple structures: e.g., “small house,” “tower,” “bridge.”
-
Set a theme: “zoo,” “castle,” “train station,” and let the child build according to that theme using the blocks.
-
The adult can take photos or videos of the child’s creations as positive reinforcement.
-
-
Group Play: Turn-based Challenge
-
If siblings/friends are playing, you can create cards with instructions (colours/shapes) or say: “Next turn: find all the red triangle blocks and build a tower.”
-
Players take turn; you can compete: who finishes fastest, whose tower is tallest and stays upright longest.
-
-
Extension Activities: Maths & Language
-
Use the blocks for counting exercises: “How many blue blocks do you have?” “There are more red blocks than green blocks — how many more?”
-
Use descriptive language: “That is a yellow square block.” “Please make a line using the long rectangular blocks.”
-
For older children: tasks like “Arrange by size from smallest to largest,” “Create a colour gradient sequence,” “Combine two blocks and build a new shape.”
-
Tips for Parents / Educators
-
Make sure the play surface is flat and safe; blocks should have smooth edges and no sharp bits.
-
At first play sessions, accompany the child and guide them — avoid doing all the tasks for them.
-
Do not overload with too many tasks at once; start simple and gradually increase difficulty.
-
At the end of play, encourage the child to tidy up and put the blocks back in the tray — this builds organisational habits.
-
If a structure collapses during building, use it as a learning moment: “It’s okay, let’s try a different approach.” This nurtures patience and resilience.
