为1948年由Alfred Mosher Butts所设计的亲子游戏，游戏过程紧张刺激。

游戏中玩家们必须激盪脑力，
想办法让自家牌架上的字母牌，
摆放置游戏图板上，才能获得分数。

此游戏不仅可以测试英文单字认知程度，
并可激发拆解组合脑力思维，
可说是兼具娱乐及教育的效果。

当布袋中的字母牌被抽完，
所有玩家皆无法再组成新的英文单字，
或是有玩家出完自家牌架上的字母牌时，游戏即告结束。

此时，各玩家将所获得的分数进行加总，
分数最高者即为游戏赢家。

拼字涂鸦(Scrabble)游戏训练玩家们的创作表达力、
应变取捨力及组织规划力，
属于语文类的桌上游戏。

游戏中所运用的机制包括“手上物件管理”及“板块放置”等，适合于家庭及朋友聚会场合中进行。
