🇬🇧 English Version: Game Introduction & Detailed Rules

1. Game Overview

Billionaire / 亿万富翁 桌游” is a board game based on property trading and wealth accumulation. Players roll dice to move around the board, buy assets, collect rent, develop properties, trade with others, and aim to become the richest player or the last one standing. The mechanics derive from classic property‑management board games.

2. Components (Typical)

  • A game board with various purchasable squares, special event squares, starting square, jail or penalty squares.

  • Player tokens: each player chooses one token.

  • Starting cash: each player receives equal starting money from the bank.

  • Property/Asset title cards: correspond to purchaseable squares.

  • Chance/Event cards: drawn when landing on special squares.

  • Building markers (houses or upgrades) if the version includes property development.

  • Dice (or spinner) for movement.

  • Bank role: a designated player or shared system to manage money, property cards, auctions, bankruptcy.

3. Objective

Acquire assets, develop them, collect rent, trade with others and avoid bankruptcy. The winner is the player with the highest total assets (cash + properties + developments) at game end or the last remaining solvent player.

4. Setup

  1. Spread out the board, place asset cards in bank area, shuffle event cards and place them.

  2. Each player receives the same starting cash from the bank.

  3. One player becomes the Bank: manages money, property titles, auctions and bankruptcy.

  4. Each player places their token on the Start square.

  5. Ready the game for player turns.

5. Gameplay

Players take turns in clockwise order. On your turn:

  1. Roll dice: determine how many spaces to move your token.

  2. Move your token that many spaces.

  3. Execute the landing space:

    • On an unowned property: you may buy it from the bank; if you decline, it is auctioned among players.

    • On a property owned by another player: pay rent to that player; rent is higher if property is developed or part of full group.

    • On a Chance/Event square: draw the card and follow the instructions (gain money, pay fine, move, skip turn etc).

    • On special squares like Jail, Tax etc: follow the instructions.

  4. Development (if supported): If you own all properties of a color/group and game rules allow, build houses/hotels/upgrades to increase rent/income.

  5. Trading & Financial Management:

    • Trade properties, money and cards with other players.

    • If you cannot pay what you owe (rent or fine), you may mortgage properties, sell upgrades or negotiate deals. If still unable to pay, you are bankrupt and out of the game; your assets are handled per rules.

  6. End your turn; if you have more money/cards than allowed, adjust accordingly.

  7. Victory: The game ends when only one player remains solvent or when a pre‑set condition is met. The richest remaining player wins.

6. Strategy Tips

  • Obtain a full set of properties to enable development and higher rent.

  • Maintain enough cash for unexpected costs.

  • Don’t lose opportunities in auctions—you may buy assets at a bargain.

  • Trade with others strategically—not only to win, but also to prevent opponents from monopolizing.

  • Invest in development when timing is right; too early or too late can hurt liquidity.
